SentierElsa. Trekking and Nature

One of Tuscany’s most spectacular protected natural trails

SentierElsa is one of the most spectacular protected natural trails in Tuscany. It follows a short stretch of the Elsa River, a tributary of the Arno, in the municipality of Colle di Val d’Elsa. The trail is about 4 kilometres long, with small bridges and river crossings, suitable for both adults and children, featuring small pools where swimming is possible.

Excursions can be organised for groups of 15-20 people with an expert guide who will reveal the secrets of the Alta Valdelsa River Park: from the Diborrato Waterfall (15 metres high and 10 metres deep) to the White Boulder, and from grey herons to kingfishers.

The standard route takes about three hours and can be extended to half a day by including Le Caldane, thermal baths with warm water springs. Comfortable footwear (trainers or hiking boots) is essential.
