BIKE TOURS

Customised tours with expert guides

Tuscany is one of the Italian regions with the highest number of cycle paths and gravel roads. It’s well worth organising a personalised bike tour for groups with sector professionals who will provide rental bicycles and a knowledgeable guide. Here are some suggestions:

Girotondo in Sovicille
Discover the small medieval villages including Stigliano, Ancaiano, and Toiano. (Length: 35 km, elevation gain: 375 metres, a very easy route suitable for all types of bikes). Discover the itinerary.

Val di Merse and Crete
A route in the municipality of Murlo between two contrasting natural environments: to the west, the lush woods of the Val di Merse; to the east, the typical hills of the Crete Senesi. (Length: 28 km, elevation gain: 570 metres, a route suitable for all types of bikes). Discover the itinerary.

There is also the possibility of organising shorter tours on individual trails chosen according to specific needs.
There are plenty of itineraries, some combining a pleasant ride with fine wines and good food. Here are a few proposals:

  • E-bike tour in Chianti (including a visit to a typical winery and a tasting);
  • Bike tour in San Gimignano, the city of beautiful towers;
  • Montalcino and Brunello bike tour (including a visit to a winery and tasting of three wines);
  • E-bike tour in Val d’Orcia (including a visit to a cheese dairy in Pienza where pecorino cheese is produced).

Near San Galgano, about a 30-minute drive from the Agriturismo, you can take part in customised guided or self-guided tours around the Abbey of San Galgano (in the heart of the Val di Merse), and just a short distance from brand-new bike parks, with rental options for mountain bikes, e-bikes, or professional bicycles from the Val di Merse cycling group.
